Bacteria의 subcellular localization #

박테리아의 경우 크게 펩티도글리칸(cell wall)의 유무에 따라 gram-negativegram-positive로 분류 된다. Gram-negative bacteria의 경우 크게 5개의 subcellular localization으로 분류되는데, cytoplasm, periplasm, inner membrane, outer membrane 그리고 extracellular space 이다. 시퀀싱 기술의 발달로 다양한 생물종의 유전체 서열을 밝히는 일이 가속화된 시점에 단백질의 세포 내 위치정보는 유전체를 구성하고 있는 단백질의 세포 내 기능을 밝히는 중요한 단서를 제공하게 되었다.
